My Story

She was born and raised in London and Jeddah and currently lives in Lahore, Pakistan with her family.

She started writing as early as 2000 for magazines on health and fitness topics like Womens Own, FAQ, Health and Beauty. Her first book was a self published non-fiction book- ‘Fitness Fun, Nutrition and Lifestyle in Pakistan’ designed by Markings Publishers, Karachi April 2019. Her second book is published by Ferozesons Publishers- ‘A Guide to Health Narrative of Prevalent Diseases’, June 2023.

She did her FSc in pre-med, BA in journalism and education, MA in English , L2 in Gym Instruction, an L3 in Nutritional Advice and she continues to nurture her inquisition for research and progress through her writing.

She has participated in online discussions during covid, gave information to LGS girls on mental health and nutrition to help against depression and body image. She has been invited as a speaker to introduce her book at book club meet-ups. She has given consultations on wellness to private clients. As they say you are your own best ambassador of your brand, so she incorporates her practices in her daily lifestyle as well. She believes truly in the concept of nature therapy and takes herself into the green outdoors for well-being. She stands by her mottos ‘ do what is sustainable’ and ‘you are your only competition’.
She wants to contribute towards developing Pakistans healthcare landscape practices, raise its standards of public health, improve educational awareness for self-care habits, promote towards decreasing the healthcare burden on the system overloaded with limited resources to manage current and rising diseases through educating people on simple self awareness strategies. Her books serve these purposes. Her vision is to grow and have a studio space as a walk-in clinic for wellness, workout and quality food where people can help themselves to create their own plans.
I have always had a very keen interest in the field of maths and medicine, her mother a anaesthetist and late father a CA. Though not a doctor herself tends to gravitate towards these subjects.
These books are her humble attempts to offer her educational experiences to readers who want to know about common diseases in a global perspective, to bring to people’s awareness how food, activity, rest etc… are major forms of natural lifestyle medicine. Experiencing some of the minor illnesses, observing and helping take care of people with major illnesses, she felt that nutrition and exercise were part of every doctor’s list of things to do on the medication slip. There was a general lack of knowledge in people about nutrition and manuals handed to patients in hospitals were misleading and inadequate in nature.
Self-study, experiences and research, trials and errors are things that I enjoy indulging in and experimenting with. Curiosity is never ending: it begins where you have just ended.
